Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

Group Terms & Conditions

By registering for this group, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Group Commitment & Fees

This is an 18-week closed DBT skills group. By registering, you are committing to the full duration of the group.

You are financially responsible for all 18 sessions, regardless of attendance.

Payment will be processed weekly following each Wednesday session at the rate selected and paid at checkout.

2. Attendance Expectations

Consistent attendance is essential for group safety, cohesion, and skill development.

Participants are permitted a maximum of three (3) missed sessions over the 18-week program.

A “miss” includes:

Missing a session entirely

Arriving more than 15 minutes late

Leaving the group early

If a participant reaches two (2) misses or late arrivals, group facilitators will connect with the participant to explore barriers to attendance and develop a plan to support continued participation.

Exceeding the maximum number of allowed misses may result in removal from the group at the discretion of the facilitators. Removal does not negate financial responsibility for the full program.

3. No Refund Policy

There are no refunds for this group.

Fees paid are non-refundable once the group has begun, regardless of attendance, withdrawal, or removal from the group.

4. Cancellation & Withdrawal (Before Group Start)

Participants may cancel or withdraw from the group up until February 6 without being charged for the remaining sessions.

The initial fee paid at checkout is non-refundable.

Healing Recovery Centre is happy to apply the initial fee as a credit on your account for future services at Healing Recovery Centre.

5. Age Requirement

This group is specifically for individuals between the ages of 16 and 23.

By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Participation outside of this age range is not permitted.

6. Participants Under 18

If the participant is under the age of 18, registration confirms that a parent, caregiver, or legal guardian has:

Reviewed all information on the group information page

Consented to the participant’s enrollment and participation in the group

7. Group Format & Scope

This is a DBT skills-based group, not comprehensive DBT and not a replacement for individual therapy.

Participants are encouraged, but not required, to be engaged in individual therapy while attending the group.

This group is not intended for crisis intervention or emergency mental health support.

8. Confidentiality

Healing Recovery Centre clinicians are bound by professional confidentiality and privacy standards.

While facilitators take confidentiality seriously, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed among group participants.

Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others and not share personal information disclosed in group sessions outside of the group.

9. Safety & Clinical Fit

Participation is contingent on clinical appropriateness and readiness for group-based skills learning.

Healing Recovery Centre reserves the right to recommend alternative supports or withdraw a participant from the group if participation is deemed clinically inappropriate or unsafe.

Removal from the group if deemed not clinically appropriate prior to the group start will result in no further charges for this group service.

10. Agreement

By completing registration and submitting payment, you confirm that you:

Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

Meet the eligibility requirements for this group

Agree to the attendance, payment, and participation policies outlined above
